Maybe so

But I think this is going to be an annual thing until he ultimately leaves. He has sent enough signals that he, at minimum, is willing to engage . And frankly this is with his current relationship with the AD, fans, players, and community being at or near its zenith. What happens when over time that inevitably changes and Buzz feels slighted for some reason or another? I'm not knocking him- it is his prerogative to hear suitors out. And he isn't lying to Whit. Just isn't my preferred situation.

The situations clearly aren't the same but Justin Fuente, in my estimation, is entirely of a different makeup. If he were to have a banner year next year and he got into the public conversation for some elite type opening...I could be proven wrong but my guess is he immediately shuts it down.

Different cats, different motivations. This is just what you get with Buzz.
