OU has zero leverage to "cover" OkSt unless they join the same conference.


How in the world is OU (or the B1G for that matter) going to get the Pac12 to take them? Not happening.

Other conferences aren't taking them

I also think that OU and OkSt to ACC is a real possibility. Not most likely but not improbable.

The Texas legislature has set the precedent with Texas A&M that the big schools (Texas) can leave without regard to the lesser schools (TT, BU and TCU). But the Oklahoma legislature has yet to do the same, and I doubt they will. If Texas decides to blow it all up and go unilaterally to the B1G, I don't think OU is going there without getting OkSt in as well. Therefore, they will be shopping themselves around as a tandem. Sadly for OU, they might not end up in the same conference with two of their biggest rivals: Nebraska and Texas.

I also sense that the other conferences aren't big fans of the B1G and aren't going to be the lifeline for the lesser B12 programs.
