Maybe, but with the instability of linear vs. cord cutting


ESPN may decide that streaming is the direction the trend is heading in. If ESPN reaches that conclusion, then it could decide to turn the ACC Network Extra into the ACC Network and never develop a linear channel. Why create a linear channel if the linear model is now dying? It is possible that when ESPN and the ACC signed the contract modification they had no way to predict how much things could change in the cable industry.
