It all comes down to subs sold.

The big cable bundle deals made it easy as ESPN could contract with relatively few entities as well as profit from people who don't watch.

Now there are more avenues you have to pursue. The price point of a sub will also have to be re-calibrated. That doesn't mean that there isn't significant profit to be made
