FWIW there were reports that both Clemson and FSU were

unhappy about the ACC's situation at one time. So even though neither school decided to leave the ACC, I am not sure I would assume they are not still unhappy about the ACC's situation. If their only other option was the Big XII, then they may have seen the ACC as the lesser of two evils (or something like that). Likewise I wouldn't assume that they wouldn't consider leaving the ACC once the current GoR expires especially if a better offer came their way.

As far as the other 12 full members go, they may be content/happy with the ACC for different reasons.

BC/Syracuse/Pitt/L'ville - ACC is better than being in the AAC, Big XII, or Conference USA

UVA - best conference for basketball and certain non-revenue sports; plus joined at the hip with UNC and maybe Duke

VT - spent all those years trying to get into the ACC, so there is no reason to leave the party so soon; plus joined at the hip with UVA or at least owes UVA some debt of gratitude for helping them get into the ACC

Duke/UNC/NC State/Wake - why leave a conference that revolves around us?

GT - happy with the ACC's academic standards and there are not that many better options out there (maybe only the Big Ten) from an academic standpoint

Miami - happy with the ACC's academic standards and there are not that many better options out there (maybe only the Big Ten) from an academic standpoint
