Tech is interested in Maryland transfer Kiah Gillespie (6'2" Forward from Meriden, CT). Gillespie was the 25th ranked overall player in the class of 2015. She was a McDonald's and Parade All-American. Tech is 1 of 21 schools to contact Gillespie since she decided to leave Maryland. She fits Kenny Brooks' system. Gillespie averaged 4.1 ppg and 2.8 rpg. She only averaged 9 minutes per game during her sophomore season. Gillespie is looking for more playing time and says that she wants to be closer to home, but she has numerous ACC schools like Miami, FSU and GA Tech on her list that are further from her home in Connecticut than Tech. Ole Miss and UGA are also recruiting her.
