I've learned that past performance is an indicator of future success.

So, I'm not willing to just let it go with these ACC leaders. I think they should be bounced, and it is a bit concerning that the powers that be have yet to do so. The fact that they are still around and the fact that NOTHING seems to be all that concrete about this new ACCNetwork deal, is troubling.

Furthermore, as a VT fan and alum, I recognize that the biggest sources of revenue for our athletics programs are TV, bowls/Playoffs payouts, and ticket sales. Those are even bigger chunks of the pie than our gouging of students and begging for donors. Those same ACC leaders have their hands DIRECTLY involved in all three of those.

I have confidence in VT leadership, but I'm a bit frustrated to come on here everyday and see STech, HoO86, and others touting the ACC. The ACC is not producing for Virginia Tech.

Jim Weaver did a phenomenal job of actually remedying some of the problems Virginia Tech faced due to this sorry league by scheduling a ton of absolute blockbuster out of conference games. Unfortunately, those games were played on neutral fields in the past. But they were quality revenue generators and provided exposure. And he even has us set up with some incredible home and home B1G matchups moving forward. That's some creative work by VT leadership.

Whit has done phenomenal thus far too. His hiring of Fuente and Buzz were awesome. But, that doesn't change the fact that Weaver was and Whit is working with one arm behind their backs. VT leaders are EXPECTED to do more with less. That needn't be so.

This league SHOULD provided for its members better. So, I'm sorry, I don't care about how well Clemson or FSU football or UNC and Duke baskteball have overcome. I care about VT. Those specific programs have their own ways of overcoming the obstacles the ACC provides. Their models are different than Virginia Tech's.

But, when I come on here and read daily about what the good job the leaders of this league have done, I'm going to share what I've observed these last 15 years and I'm also going to share what I have learned about what is in store for this league financially when compared to other leagues.
