I lived in Nashville for 6 years. My roommate went every year

I'm not a big country music fan. He would complain about how miserable it was but, he always went back.

It was miserable for me in a different way I worked at The Opryland Hotel. The hotel was/is a conference hotel. That was 1 of a few weeks the hotel was packed with tourists (i.e no banquets). The hotel wasn't designed to have 3000 rooms full with no banquets/conference meals going on.

Conversely, the CMA awards were a blast to work at the hotel.

To answer your question. It's going to be hot and very crowded. If you are willingly to be patient you will probably have fun.

Free advice. Visit Nashville another time. It's a great city and lots of fun things to do. The music scene is great year round. If you can get good seats for the "big" CMA show at the Titans stadium its worth it. I went twice. I had a blast and I'm not really a country fan.
