BC is located in an area loaded with....

colleges and universities. Then you have the Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins, Celtics,....

The city has top quality universities like Harvard, MIT, Brandeis, Tufts, and Boston U, along with numerous quality liberal arts colleges. BC has the only P-5 athletics program in New England, but it seems to me that they just aren't doing as well as they could. I'd bet UConn would do much better than BC if they were New England's only P-5 university. Too many "distractions" in the Boston area. Being a private university doesn't help their cause either. When I think of colleges in Boston, I think of Harvard and MIT. When I think of sports in the Boston area, BC athletics is way down my list.
