Power conferences rule and mid-majors drool. I think ESPN or CBS


did an article a few years ago the impact of the new TV arrangement on the NCAAT. Specifically while people like the notion of the cinderella story in the NCAAT, it typically doesn't result in high ratings especially if that cinderella story involves a mid-major.

I wonder once the ACCN is established if ESPN will create an ACC-SEC Challenge in basketball. I am assuming that the ACC-Big Ten Challenge and the Big XII-SEC Challenge could continue to exist. However, ESPN may look to try to replace both challenges as a way of consolidating content.
