ACC a great softball league? Hardly... I would argue that

it is far and away the worst of the Power 5 in softball. How many College World Series have the ACC teams had ever? FSU last year, VT one year under Tincher. Anyone else? Rarely do any of the teams make it past the opening round of the NCAA's. I would consider CUSA and possibly WCC better than ACC. My daughter just played a couple games at BYU and their stadium completely outclasses any in the ACC - and that is a WCC team.

I've met UVA's new coach and they will be flying by VT in the coming years. Thomas is a softball dinosaur and should be heading for extinction. With the lack of professional potential for softball athletes, academics is one of the biggest factors in softball recruiting and the fact that we can't beat Longwood or JMU is embarrassing. The good athletes we DO get are turned into mediocre ones due to Thomas' "coaching". Time for the pasture now that the rest of the VT programs seem headed in the right direction.
