There were millions of them. At the time they were ordinary people with a


sense of responsibility, doing what needed to get done. I'm sure we all know people of our parents and grandparents generations that did their parts. Looking at prior they were similar. I think people today are the exception. I think the "do your own thing" generation of the 60's has bred an incredibly selfish and self absorbed society of today. I think they have no concept of real sacrifice. I wonder if the Chinese bombed Pearl Harbor today how many people would enlist tomorrow. I think most would retreat to their safe spaces and let somebody else do what needed to get done. End of rant.
