Other than OXVT driving for Lyft, anyone else a rideshare driver?

I'd given some thought to signing on to Uber but in NC, USAA (my insurer) does not cover the TNC gap insurance required. (the gap is the time between when, as a driver, you turn the app on and you pickup a ride. Unless your insurance carrier covers that distance/period of time, the driver is fully responsible personally for any $ arising from a mishap).

USAA covers 40+ states but not NC yet. I could get my own auto insurance just to cover the Uber rides - but in addition to the USAA plan already in effect. Which sucks as an additional expense to cover.
