I thought it was highly entertaining/good action with a great plot device

Everyone was portrayed shades of grey. There were no "good or bad" guys (except maybe the banks). I enjoyed that perspective. It was also a very modern western, tied to the present day and economy. So it was smart in that capacity.

Most importantly I enjoyed what it represented as a movie: a commitment to that "middle ground" movie that's dying. Everything today is either a Blockbuster (your comic book tent pole franchises) or a micro-budget Indie ("Moonlight"). Not that there's anything wrong with either of those extremes, but the solid middle movie has really been hit hard. So the financial and critical success of this movie was really important from a Studio perspective.
