Welsh was a VERY good coach, but he left at the right time

His last couple years, it was clear that the ship was starting to sink. Frankly, I don't think Groh was that bad either. For a while, it actually looked like he had them on the way back to being a very good program. And let's not forget that they were one game away from a berth in the ACCCG in 2007.

Under London though, the wheels came off. Not only that, but the Hoos let him stay on far too long (he probably should have been fired after year 4 and there was no excuse to bring him back after year 5).

Bronco was a very good coach for BYU... but is in a very awkward fit for him now at UVA. Heck, if he could have stuck it out one more year in Provo, he probably could have gotten the Cal job if he really wanted it.
