Round 1:
Sal Mastriani (16-6) is the #14 seed and will face unseeded Casey Sparkman (25-12)of Kent State.

He hasn't faced Sparkman before but Ryan Blees beat Sparkman 5-2 at the Virginia Duals. Sal is 7-1 against common opponents while Sparkman is 4-3 against common opponents. Sparkman went 3-2 in the MAC Tournament to finish in 3rd place while Sal went 1-1 to finish 2nd in ACCT.

Sal should prevail by 3 or 4 takedowns or so, say 10-4 but he could get a MD here if he gets it rolling early through his aggressiveness.

Round of 32:
Sal will get #3 Joey Lavallee in this round, unless a major upset occurs. Lavallee was 7-0 against common opponents while Sal was 5-3.

Lavallee beat Sal 15-5 early this year at the VT-Missour Dual. Lavallee is 6-1 vs Top 20 opponents while Sal was 3-4. Lavallee recently won the MAC Tournament

I expect a much closer match this time around as Sal is definitely more on this game but an upset here does not appear likely. Sal falls 10-6 or so.
