Part of the issue with the later Beamer years is that our team got slower


Not sure if it was due to recruiting slower players or strength and conditioning or a combo of both, but I recall in the late 90's to early 2000's the team looked much faster and it showed even on pro days and the NFL combine with guys like Michael Vick, Deangelo Hall, and Andre Davis. Fast guys that could actually play.
