Early VT Forecast - Solomon Chisko at 149 lbs .....

Round 1:
Solomon Chishko is the #6 seed and will face unseeded Coleman Hammond of CSU Bakersfield.

He hasn't faced Hammond before who is 0-1 vs Top 10 opponents this year while Chishko is 1-1 vs Top 10 (both matches against Lugo of Edinboro). Hammond recently went 1-1 in Pac12 Tournament for 2nd place. WrestleStat has Sully winning 7-4.
Sully should prevail by 2 to 3 takedowns or so, say 8-4.

Round of 32:
Sully will get either #11 Davion Jeffries (Oklahoma) or US Joey Delgado (Oregon State). Jeffries was 7-8 and Delgado was 2-5 against common opponents during the 16/17 season. Jeffries beat Delgado 5-3 in February 2017.

Chisko beat Jeffries 5-3 this year at the Va Duals in January and beat Delgado 8-2 at Cliff Keen. Jeffries is 1-10 vs Top 10 opponents this year while Delgado is 0-1 vs Top 10. Jeffries recently went 2-1 in Big12 Tournament for 2nd place while Delgado went 2-1 in Pac12 Tournament for 3rd place. WrestleStat has Jeffries winning 10-3 and he appears to be a solid favorite which I agree with.

Sully should prevail by 1 or 2 takedowns as he is better wrestling condition than he was at the Va Duals when he won 5-3. Sully wins 7-4

Don't see Sully getting any bonus points in either round as he has been pretty measured and methodical in most of recent matches. He is not a bonus machine.
