Sports Illustrated Noise Report: ESPN cost cutting


This week's ESPN noise report is saying ESPN will be laying off more talent this year due to cost cutting needed because of the loss of subscribers. This is a continuing trend. They need to get the over the top service up and going pretty quickly. The Noise Report is at the end of this column about Chris Berman.

Also in the Noise Report is an interesting blurb about how the UConn women's basketball team is capturing the sports viewership in New York City. SNY now has 50 people exclusively producing UConn women's basketball games and shows. Wow! Women's basketball? Who knew?
