In my mind, I'm trying to figure out how a bid steal would work...

as far as the s-curve goes.

Our history has been, someone steals a bid it pushes someone out of the at large pool entirely. That's been us.

But if someone steals a bid, would they automatically jump us on the s-curve?

You might be right that these teams around us might push us down if they win and we don't. But bid steals I'm not sure are a reason.
