I agree with Rokie08. I actually want to see all the VA and ACC teams do well. VT is all the more legitimate as a Top 5 program when the ACC is strong. Having a tough NC State team in our conference (which has a legit National Champ contender in Jack) helps VT's reputation.

I also think UVA is going to be a different beast next year. They made the tough decision - for a program with only a couple stars - to redshirt some freaky good freshmen. That decision will pay off next year and for a couple years going forward.

FWIW, I think that type of thought process played a part in the Tech coaches opting to keep McFadden redshirted. Having him for three solid years starting next season will help bridge the gap from the Dance/Mastriani/Walz era to the next era with Chisko/Epp/ZZ/Haught as the upper class talent mixed with the new talent - Norstrem Part II, the 2 Moores, Bolen, Borst, Dunn, etc.
