I'm more interested in the trend than in Right Now though.

Right Now College Soccer isn't televised, or it is rarely televised. Hardly anyone even sees it. We're getting a glimmer of it through the ACC Network Extra for the first time. The video quality at some of the venues is terrible, but that can improve.

I don't advocate putting the ACC men's soccer product up against MLS. But there is a tremendously larger interest in soccer in general in this country today than 10 years ago and growing. The ACC has a product, perhaps the best in college, and it should look for ways to sell it into that growing interest in soccer in the US. One would think some of the college age kids who play it in other parts of the world might be interested in a degree from ACC schools.

One challenge in doing this is that college soccer games are happening during Sunday afternoon and would be competing with NFL games for TV audience. But ESPN doesn't show NFL on Sunday, so it is something ESPN could show.
