Re: Depends on what you mean by
Tech would play 3 games against teams in our pod, 4 from another pod and designated rival UVA (if they weren't in our pod). That's just 8 conference games.
IMO, the only schools that would likely dislike the pods (quads) would be the North Carolina schools but I think there are ways to satisfy every ACC school. There may end up being an All North Carolina pod. UVA (if in Tech's pod) can still play UNC and NC State can still play Clemson. As a Tech fan, UVA is the only rivalry that concerns me. Maybe Miami to some degree but to be honest, that rivalry isn't what it used to be. As a matter of fact, Georgia Tech is becoming more interesting of a rivalry. I would love to see the Tech-BC designated match-up go away. "IF" WVU joins the ACC, I'd be happy to see them, Pitt, UVA, and Tech in a pod. That would be a fan friendly pod for us. Even Pitt gives us a hard time. The worst thing about an All North Carolina pod would be not having a road game in that state 2 out of 3 years. We could schedule a road game at ECU or even at Charlotte (our fans would likely make that game a home game for us).
