From researching whit's past hires

It seems to me the average it takes to hire a new coach is about 4 weeks from resignation/firing/retiring to new head coach announcement.

Based on the timeline from Dresser resigning and going to Iowa State (February 20th) and the end of the season I'd imagine we will announce the hire The week of March 19-25. If I was a betting man I would guess the 20th or 21st.

If I had to guess this past week was spent on defining the role and this week(if they haven't started already) they will setup a search committee to identify candidates to target internally and externally.

The week of March 5th and 11th seems to be a down period as teams are training after conferences for NCAAs, so this might be the best week to do phone and in person interviews and then hopefully making a decision and then announcing the week after NCAAs.

This is just a timeline I have based purely on researching how the process works and how it fits inside the time frame. Obviously, Whit is the Athletic Director and he ultimately sets any timeline.
