Agree, the football program already HAD declined. Wrestling not so much.

I'm not the least bit surprised about an upward trajectory in football -- the only thing surprising to me was the improvement in year 1.

My guess is that wrestling was going to decline a little bit next year with the loss of Dance, Walz, and Sal. We have talented redshirts slotted in our "open" slots (including McFadden's return) but it's not clear they'll fill in make up for two A-As.

The big questions for the new staff will be holding on to what we have (including incoming guys) and trying to pull in big recruits. Our recruiting has been trending up for a while; we'll see if we can keep the momentum going or at least not lose too much of what we had.
