I think they are just trying to hold on to the other sports...especially

NCAA basketball. They however see the writing on the wall and as you suggest seem to be a king without a kingdom.

BTW, there was some reluctance in ND leaving the Big East in basketball...pretty amazing in ACC basketball, huh? The Big East had the Northeast, but the ACC has the whole east coast. That's got to be good for a National School like ND. Your thoughts?
