You are assuming that Liberty's move is for financial gains in athletics.


What if Liberty's move is primary for other reasons? Liberty may believe it can't be the "BYU or Notre Dame of the East" for the Baptist church if it remains in the FCS subdivision. By switching to the FBS subdivision the then it not only increases exposure for the school, but maybe also the school's network (LUTV or something like that).
