My take is either 5 or 6 -- you can make a case either way at 184.

My thoughts from a few days ago are below.

I thought ZZ (4-1 ACC) would get #2 at 184 with a head-to-head loss to NCSU's Machiavello (4-0), but I missed one detail. MM is 4-0 because he wrestled up at 197 against UNC and lost. The loss at a different weight doesn't count. If MM is 5-0, he's pretty much a clear #1 based on head-to-head. With the loss at 197 and ZZ's better overall record, it's muddier.

Ty is a clear #2 seed with his loss to Duke's Kasper and Kasper's fantastic overall season.

The ACC tournament is likely to come down to us and NCSU. We're probably favored, but it will probably be close. We'll probably have the #1 seeds at 125, 149, 157, 174, and 197. Zavatsky at 184 and Walz at 285 both have strong seasons (only 2 losses each), but each lost to an ACC opponent and will probably be #2. I have no clue what the seeding will look like at 133. We'll probably have the #6 seed at 141 and #5 at 165. If we wrestle to seed, we'll probably win without many points at 133/141/165, but it would be close. We under-performed last year and NCSU beat us.
