This quote...

This quote by the author is hilarious:

------------
So Brands' support for helping improve wrestling's exposure is clear -- except, apparently, when it involves facing a program that wronged him, his program, and his student-athletes. Is that fair? Is maintaining a personal grudge really worth it?
------------

How did VT become the bad guy here? How did VT wrong Brands and "his program"? I guess VT was never "his program" and he was allowed to gut it or use it in whatever way suited him.

I didn't realize that Brands leaving in his second year and wanting to take all the wrestlers that redshirted and never donned a singlet for VT was wronging him and his program.

As far as the athletes. Yes, it was tough on the athletes, but the author fails to mention that those athletes were given the choice to wrestle for VT in their second year. They all chose to NOT wrestle for VT and instead sit out.
