I was willing to give Dennis Wolff 4 years...


It looked like he might turn things around after almost going .500 in his 3rd season. His 4th season was a disaster, going 1-15 in the ACC and 12-20 overall. I was supportive of Wolff until that season. I was surprised that Whit kept Dennis on for a 5th year but many say that was a financial decision. Dennis improved last season going 5-11 in the ACC and 18-14 overall. Even with that record, I just thought it was time for a change. Kenny Brooks wasn't my choice to coach our program. After his hiring, the more I read about Kenny Brooks, the more I liked the hire. Just like Dennis, I'm willing to give Kenny 4 years, not one season.

I agree that Kenny needs to improve recruiting. He needs to sign at least 2 top 100 players every season if he wants to compete in the top half of the ACC. I don't expect him to sign McDonald's All-Americans, but bringing in one top 50, one top 100, and a top 200 player each year would be nice.

As for having his daughter Kendyl playing for him, I have no problem as long as she's treated the same as the other players. To my knowledge, I don't see Kenny giving her any special treatment. As a matter of fact, Kendyl was upset with her father a month ago because she thought he was too tough on her. IMHO, I agree with Kenny that Kendyl would've been best served red-shirting her freshman season but losing Genesis Parker (because Parker's father wanted her to be the #1 point guard and Chanette wasn't going to allow that to happen for 3 seasons), having Erin Garner ineligible, and losing Rachel Camp for the season put an end to Brooks' redshirt plans.
