Biggest strength WAS geog. when BigEast was imploding.

Problem is, the ACC botched things by adding some of the wrong schools and adding them in the wrong order.

WVU should have been first and foremost after VT and Miami. We would still have Maryland had we not added BC. That was botched totally.

From there, the ACC could have THEN added Pitt to form more rivalries and then went on to add Rutgers/UCONN/Louisville. All are better fits than BC, and to a lesser degree Cuse.

Anyhow, the ACC was essentially gifted the crumbling Big East. Geography was the ACC's best of friends in the expansion wars, but they botched it. That allowed the B1G into NJ and the DMV.
