Landscape is littered with attorney's opinions offered verbally based on incomplete or inaccurate information supplied by clients. First thing I would want to know is whether the opinion comes from in house counsel or outside counsel AND whether it was a written or verbal opinion. The further away on the spectrum you move from a written opinion by reputable outside counsel the more likely holes could exist in that argument.
