They have to be consistnet.

The fact of the matter is more than a few of the best seats in the house are taken up by folks who no longer donate to the HC, or their friends who have mooched off of them and have never donated to the HC. That prevents other people from making big donations.

The fact of the matter is that athletics have changed with the addition of the stipend and the ballooning costs of attendance. Old agreements just don't work anymore. It's not economically feasible. It's like a company going out of business and because it can't pay pensions anymore.

Simply put the HC should have worked with big donors sooner but the fact is the gravy train needed to end in order for us to stay competitive. If they made special arrangements for the 1-3% then 4-10% would scream about special treatment. This was meant to curb the mass purchases or encourage you to get your free loading buddies to contribute. I don't think they expected people to be so defensive about it but the fact is that to remain competitive it needed to happen.

We can drop a little extra change in the plate to help fund some good kids' way to school while we watch them bang into each other in Blacksburg 6 times or year or we can take our ball and go home.

I'm at a point with 2 kinds under 2 that attending games is not feasible to me. When those boys get older and are ready to go to some games hopefully they'll be plenty of folks scared off from the per ticket mins that I can still get some good seats.
