I don't disagree with most of that


But I think the seeding does matter. I agree that Epperly can beat everyone at 174, but I think Valencia and Jordan pose the largest threats so being on the opposite side of the bracket would give him the best chance. He has a better shot at winning if he only has to wrestle one of them. So that's why I think it definitely does matter. Not that I don't think he's good enough as you say, but it gives him a better and easier route if he doesn't have to worry about them until the finals.
