A very good friend of mine is going to have surgery Friday to remove a brain tumor. While not a Homie alumni himself, he is very much a Hokie fan and a very close friend of this Hokie.

Jason is a normal 40 year old guy like most of us with a wife and family. Life was going great for him when suddenly, life hit him like a dump truck. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor back in October. He should have had surgery sooner but he's put it off in order to save as much money and leave from work as possible. While he has saved and he does have insurance, he's still going to have to come out of pocket for quite a bit and he's going to be run out of paid time off at some point during his recovery.

Some of his friends have started a "gofundme" account for him despite his protests (he eventually gave in). We are trying to get roughly 5k raised to help him get through this unexpected bump in the road.
