Lax is too early to tell I believe although the transition was not handled well. Softball hasn't been good but Garland(wrestling) has been solid. The Bernadino exit while surprising hasn't tanked the swimming program and they are decent. Boland and men's tennis is a home run as is O'Connor in baseball. Think one would have to conclude the hit rate on coaches in the non revs has been pretty good with a few exceptions. The question has to be asked whether Oliver's ties to Tudor Jones and hoops could influence his obvious mismanagement of football.

If that is in fact what is happening it shows a pretty blatant disregard for the disproportionate economic impacts of the two largest revenue sports and could indicate a belief, rightly or wrongly, that UVA has deep enough pockets to subsidize its non revs without football being a major player. That seems like at least a risky proposition to me and ignores the sizeable revenue gains they could make if football were just serviceable, not to mention the impact if they actually became decent again.
