That worked wonders in my tub.

I felt the constant give in one area near the drain, so I went under there (luckily unfinished basement below) and emptied a can of foam into the cavity. Worked wonders.

As for the crack, my pop (RIP) was a GE materials/metallurgical engineer back in the 50's-80's. He developed a lot of experimental goops (plastic goop) and epoxies. He would glue all kinds of stuff at our house. The tub was constantly patched with epoxy for many years.
