Interviewed a recent UVA grad for a job today

Don't see a lot of them, well, any, really, because we're out west. I was curious how she would come across.

And damn if she didn't come across as competent, with some decent experience, but also somehow not quite right in terms of cultural fit due to some peeks at arrogance and insincerity. When I asked her why she was looking at jobs here when she was on the East Coast and had grown up there, she cited the state and nothing about our company as an attraction. Like she would use us to move here, then bail as soon as she could.

She also referred to people only 6 years younger than her as "girls" as she "mentored" them. Small stuff, but as someone famous once said, "I've got a bad feeling about this."
