Aside from the very real possibility that the OP lives paycheck to paycheck precisely because he or she is financially prudent and puts most of their money away, there are all kinds of reasons a missed paycheck could be a problem.

Maybe the OP was planning to make a large purchase this weekend, and didn't want to move money from savings or sell other assets. Maybe he wanted to do some early x-mas shopping.

Nope can't be those. Just has to be that the OP has 'bigger issues'. Give me a break, or better yet they can just go away.
