Most Athletic Departments use the Director's Cup.


This analysis was focused on higher profile sports like football, men's basketball, and women's basketball. Capital One Cup heavily weights those three plus soccer, lacrosse, and baseball. The Director's Cup keeps everything even and allows 20 sports to be used (10 men's and 10 women's).

I think the Director's Cup is a better overall indicator of the department where Capital One Cup focuses on more revenue oriented sports.
