Umm no. Leverage is NOT putting your head down


To the ground. In fact TE made a VERY dangerous play. There was no effort made to wrap up either, more evidence that he was going for a launch.

When you go for a tackle, you see your target and keep the head up. ALWAYS. You see what you are about to hit With your shoulder. The moment the head is involved, you are making a dangerous play. It's not a question of whether TE would have made contact with his head, it's where on the ballcarrier contact would be made.

Like you said, targeting by rule. But it was not good technique.
