Somewhat impressed by ISU fans.. They sit 1-7 but look nearly sold out...


All their games have had 50K+ this year with a 60-something thousand seat stadium. Maybe Ames, IA is a boring town with nothing to do, but I find it interesting that their fans are as strong as they are when 1-7. I'm not sure many other 1-7 squads would have as strong support. There's a 6-2 top 25 ACC squad that likely has poorer attendance, for example.

In their own conference, Kansas has a poor showing in most home football games, yet it is ISU that will be scrambling to ensure they stay in the P5 whereas KU will find a home. It's a shame the B1G will pass ISU by for others. It'd be nice for them to find a home in the B1G with rival Iowa and be another B1G AAU member.
