This event has never been

Dresser tweaks it from year to year. Barring line-ups, which--if provided in advance--we'll see either today and tomorrow.here's what I think will happen, based on previous years.

There's been a lot more stealth this year with our initial starting line-up and how it might evolve during the season. I don't think we will see many high profile matches.

During Dresser's first two years, we used this as a wrestle-off..where two guys are wrestling for a spot on the roster. Most of our spots are set, although there is a bit of uncertainty at either 133 or 141 and at 157. We might see Degen and Moore go head to head at 141 and might have a true wrestle-off at 157 between Sal and Blees, and possibly one at 165 between LaPrade and Bergida. No inside info, just one person's attempt to read the tea leaves.

The main goal of intra-squads is to provide a "dry-run" at making weight, one week prior to matches. Most wrestlers (at least the starters) will weigh-in at their competitive weight. However, they might not face wrestlers in their own class. Last year, I think Joey Dance faced a 149 lb-er.

There's a few things to look for:

- Weight slotting. We have a hole at either 133 or 141, depending where Gus is slotted. I think Gus will be more effective at 133, but initially, they might want to see how he fares at 141, giving us some time to evaluate Moore and Degen at 141, see how Sully does at 149, and see if Blees can win 157 outright, allowing Sal to return to 149. In the meantime, it will be interested to see who they slot at 133: Haskett and Latona are listed at 133 for the Open, Ryan Burns might be a possibility hopefully the parings will show Dressers hand here,

- 157. If the SE Open Entries are any indication (it is OUR tourney, so we can probably do whatever we want) we will rest our starters at the SE Open..except at 157, where both Sal and Blees are scheduled to wrestle the Open bracket, which hints at a wrestle-off.

- 165. Right now, I think LaPrade's the guy here. I'm eager to see a pairing with Bergida. Blees could move up here later, but I've been hearing a lot about LaPrade and he showed well in open tourneys last year.

- Dunn. He's going to redshirt next year, but I'd love to see him in action against Ty or even Helm.

- Young guns. This is our first look at guys like Prata, Norstrem, Latona, Brent Moore, Degen, Derek Ciavarro, TJ Allen and Cody Amos.
