That's why I beleive expansion will not turn out the way some on here..


say it will. When politicians (on all 3 levels...local, state, and federal) get involved, it just makes things more complicated. It makes the scenarios with Oklahoma and Kansas leaving behind their state's conference rival (Oklahoma State and Kansas Sate) less likely. I can't see the politicians in either Oklahoma or Kansas watching OSU or KSU being left behind. They have to consider the economic impact to their states and the damage it could cause to those state universities left behind. I'm sure that being a member of a Power 5 conference greatly boosts the profile of both Kansas State and Oklahoma State. Moving to the Mountain West, AAC, or CUSA would severely damage their athletic departments and likely hurt student enrollments and their university's reputations.
