It's not $40 million. It's $28 million.

And the Bowl money, NCAA men's basketball money, and conference network money are not substantially different between the P5 now that the ACC will have a conference network. The Big XII will fall behind because they won't have a conference network. The PAC12 is behind because they can't sell theirs on the east coast.

When it's all said and done the Big Ten advantage will be a lot less than what their homers keep harping. Now the members with 100 thousand seat stadiums will make a lot more. But they were doing that anyway for decades.

To get that $28 million, the B1G has to put their product on Fox with no one watching. The Big XII found that out yesterday big time.
Texas - Oklahoma Red River rivalry game only got a 2.0 Saturday TV rating. It's bad to be on Fox. The Big Ten brags that their fans will follow them to Fox. Well I've seen that fail big time for the Big East Basketball Conference and now the Big XII.
