Of course not because it is saving ESPN a ton of money.


However, it still doesn't mean that ESPN won't low ball the ACC going forward. I say that because the ACC's decision may reduce the amount of content ESPN has to work with for the ACCN. So if the ACC ever agrees to ESPN's request to increase its content, then I would not expect ESPN to increase its payout to help make up for all the money the ACC left on the table by deciding to stick with its current scheduling format. Now whether that is considered payback for the decision the ACC made this week; it may depend on who you ask.
