Pro golf watch 9/1 - 9/4
Huge Sunday for JW last week at the Barclays propelled up him to 69th on the FedEx Cup Standings. He's projected to need at least a top 40 finish this week at TPC Boston to remain inside the top 70 and earn a spot in the BMW Championship. Based on his last 3 weeks, I certainly wouldn't bet against him right now.
Unfortunately Drew Weaver was unable to continue his late season surge towards a spot in the WCT finals, missing the cut at the Portland Open last week. The 4 event finals series starts next week in Ohio where we'll likely see BDJ tee off trying to earn full status on the PGA Tour for next year.
Scott Vincent and Trevor Cone are back in action north of the border on the Mackenzie Tour. With 3 more events to go in the season, both will need some top finishes to make a push for getting into the top 5 on the moneylist. Vincent is holding steady at 15th after a T26 finish a few weeks back. Cone is up to 41st after back to back top 25 finishes.
On the mini tour circuit, Blake Redmond is in the Adams Pro Tour event in Houston, TX and Maclain Huge participated in the Palmetto State Open on the SwingThought Tour this week.
