Yep, brutal and thankless theatre.


I've slowly been reaching Churchill's memoirs on the war. Really, really long and time consuming, but worth it. I'm up through late 1943 now, about the time of the invasion of Italy. Churchill is the man, plus it gives you a world-view of the war from the British perspective.
