It's not like this is a new technology...it's been around for 20 years.

This is something relatively new, and I have a feeling we won't know what it is until after the car manufacturers have been told and a software "fix" has been installed on vulnerable vehicles. I doubt Chryslers are the only ones with this problem...they're probably the easiest to hack.

Somehow I think GM vehicles with On-Star probably have some type of hacking vulnerability, since they can be unlocked and (I think) started remotely.
