Went to see him today at the hospital. He is under a lot of medication and was very tired in the ICU but looks okay. Talked with his Mom and she stated that the doctors hope to release him this Saturday, depending upon his progress. The assistant coaches were there and was told that Whit and Coach Williams had dropped by earlier in the day. He was able to communicate but I could tell that he was really tired. Hope that his progress mover forward so that he can be released sometime this weekend. I joked with the assistant coaches that they were going to earn their pay now. Everyone seemed upbeat about his progress, just one of those unfortunate things to happen to someone at his age. The team is expected to arrive back on campus in early August. Everyone on the team has been notified of the situation.
